The CHS Leo Club was established in January 2015. We are sponsored by the Colfax Lions Club and the Meadow Vista Lions Club. We meet the 1st and 3rd Tuesday at lunch in the Colfax High Learning Commons. The main purpose of this student-run club is to perform service projects within our school and community. Some added benefits include friendship, leadership skills, and sense of contribution and giving back. In 2017/18, our club was over 150 members strong, making it the largest in California. We have earned the “Leo Club of the Year” award in our district multiple times. To be a Leo, it is required that you attend the majority of all meetings and work at least three service projects during the school year, one of which must be a Lions Club event. If you need to miss a meeting because of an excused absence (such as a test make up, another club meeting, choir practice, CTE class, etc), Leo members must text the Leo Club President prior to the meeting. Leos are strongly encouraged to attend all meetings. If you need a Leo's Club Shirt, you can purchase one for $10 at the Greenline Store. Please contact Adam Dieter or Mike Divine for additional information. All Leos are required to fill out a Leo Club Application (parent & student signature required) and an online membership form. To request for the Leo Club to help you or your organization, please fill out the “Request for Assistance” form found at the bottom of this page at least one month prior to your event. The club will review your request and get back to you as soon as we can to confirm that we have enough Leos to perform what is asked from us. Leo Club members are encouraged to seek ways to assist our community. We are looking forward to another great year! |
